Your contribution keeps SailMaine afloat

SailMaine is a community sailing center dedicated to providing affordable access to the water through sailing and educational programming. We rely on the generosity of our supporters to ensure we can get everyone, especially youth and underserved communities, out on the water. Many of our programs are free, and fees for those that aren’t are reduced by 40% due to donations and other funding sources.

SailMaine provides a variety of opportunities for the public to support our work. Make a monetary donation by clicking the button above, or browse other ways to contribute to our programs below. Together, a strong community of staff, volunteers, and friends keeps our boats afloat on Casco Bay.

Other Ways to Support SailMaine

Corporate Sponsorship

If your company is looking to get involved, consider becoming a corporate sponsor! We always need sponsors for our annual SailMaine Festival & Regatta, and may have unique project-based opportunities as well.

Volunteer Opportunities

SailMaine relies on volunteers in everything we do. Anyone who has time and interest can volunteer with a SailMaine program; sailing experience is not required.

Volunteer areas include:

General Help: Provide on-site support by lending a hand with one of our many ongoing projects.

Skipper: Get certified by SailMaine and take kids or adults on the water in a J-22.

Crew: Help out a J-22 skipper. A great way to learn the ropes before getting certified.

Event Committee: Support regattas, public outreach, and fundraising events.

Boat Maintenance: Put your carpentry and boat repair skills to use by helping us maintain our fleet.

Boat & Gear Donations

We are always on the lookout for gear donations. Some common needs include PFDs, drysuits, foul weather gear, and outboard engines. We also accept boat donations, either to convert into funding or to use for our programs.
