The Showdown is a team race regatta originally held on the Cape. This year, SailMaine hosts the SHOWDOWN regatta on Saturday, September 6th, 2008. Click here for the NOR, and here to register. You may use the Google Checkout link below to pay the entry fee for one, two, or three boats.
SailMaine's Open Team Race Series sails Monday evenings in our 420s throughout the summer. Team racing consists of boats (usually 3 to a team) helping each other to the best combination of finishes against another team of boats. The team with the lowest combined score of all three boats' finishes wins. While not for novices, experienced sailors may find this engaging and fun. Click here for more information.
The Casco Bay Frostbite Series is
a Yngling racing series for experienced adults. We
kicked it off for 2005 with an informational meeting
and work party on Sunday, October 23, and sailed
6 Sundays in November and December, with awards presented
after the last race on the
18th. It was a lot of fun, with eight teams participating.
