Shawn Cole
2008 Summer Instructor
Shawn has been happily riding his bicycle to SailMaine for many years.
In fact, since he was 13 - that's nine summers, making this summer the tenth (!). Of course, his role when he gets there has changed over the years; from student to volunteer to junior instructor to the most recent incarnation - genuine, full-time sailing instructor. The chronology gets a little hazy, but Shawn is pretty sure he's been an instructor at SailMaine for four or five years. Jeff's memory would need to be cross-checked for accuracy.
While at SailMaine, Shawn teaches primarily Frosty and Yngling classes. While not at SailMaine, Shawn is a going into his senior year at College of the Atlantic, where he dabbles in everything, but mostly studies jazz and (what he thinks is) fine art. |
