Laura Angell Evangelista
Assistant Coach
Laura returned to SailMaine in 2008 as a Casco Bay Junior Sailing Program instructor, where she also taught 420 sailing in 2006. She joins Coach Chris Bergey coaching the Portland High School sailing team.
She has taught at various sailing programs throughout New England, including Center Harbor Yacht Club in Brooklin, Maine, where she began sailing at age 6.
Laura graduated of the University of Vermont in 2007, where she was an active member of the sailing team throughout her four year college career. Though she misses the collegiate circuit and her beloved Catamounts, Laura remains active in the sailing world through coaching opportunities and post-district regattas.
