SailMaine continues to expand its programs, offering affordable community access to the waters of Casco Bay. With your help, we were able to upgrade and expand the reach of our Youth Sailing Programs along the Maine coast with the aquisition of a fleet of 18 420s in the fall of 2006. Our combined fleet of 27 boats has allowed us to jump start new sailing opportunities for High School and Junior sailors at our Portland Community Sailing facility. In 2007, new High School teams from Cape Elizabeth and Falmouth were able to actively participate in the High School program, joining Portland and Cheverus High schools, and our composite Southern Maine High School team. This would not have been possible without your financial support.
We continue to pursue new chances to grow the sport, and we hope you will continue to support our capital campaign. We're looking to add an additional chase boat to our fleet, and have been searching for a 16' skiff that we can use with an outboard we already have. A generous contribution of $250.00 will help us aquire the equipment we need to build our programs. A $2,460 donation will allow you to put your name on one of our 420s. Of course, any level of giving is most gratefully appreciated.
